Youtube, the world’s most viewing platform, introduced a new, exciting fund named “Youtube Funds,” especially a $100M fund given to the creators on Youtube for years over 2021 and 2022. The purpose of Youtube fund is to fascinate more audiences to the platform of Youtube by making short reels like TikTok’s and give great competition to Tiktok, SnackVideo, and other such platforms.
Moreover, the company will provide an opportunity for youtube content creators to withdraw their shares funds collected by views every month. The fund shares will be ranging from $100 to-10,000 based on views of the short videos they get every month, not just when they are uploaded.
According to the policy of this Youtube fund, a channel/platform which has at least a single eligible video in the past 180 days will be eligible for this fund. The content creator ought to follow the Youtube community guides, rules regarding copyright, video from third-party resources or with identity watermarks, pre-uploaded videos from other platforms, and fake videos will not the eligible for this fund.
The availability of this cool Youtube Shorts feature is available to many countries, including India, UK, the US, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, and many more.
The eligible age for creators is starting from Thirteen years old. Since 13 is minor age thus, for withdrawing payments, the child will have to get his parents/guardians’ consent and use their account for Google Adsense. Also, the parents/guardians will have to follow youtube community guidelines as well.
Like youtube and Instagram, Snapchat has this short reels feature from which people are earning, but there are main judgment problems for the authenticity of videos uploaded. Instagram reels had faced the issue that creators uploaded the pre-uploaded videos on other platforms in the install reels by editing them with software, which is against the community guides.
So to overcome such technical tactics from creators, Youtube is said to be using a combo of automatic AI and real people/ human reviews-based engagement to determine the eligibility of the uploaded content by creators. Regarding content to be uploaded, the Youtube policy stated that it does not require to be related to any specific topic as such in special. All the funds will be generated to real uploaded content monthly based on the performance of views and sharing of them among the audience. Also, to make the youtube users aware of their eligibility, youtube will be sending notifications of their eligibility status in-app to them so they can start creating content and getting benefits from the funds.
